Activities & Excursions

During your course we will tell you about any events happening in Plymouth or any activities and excursions organised by the school. By joining in you will have the opportunity to meet other students, practise your English, make friends and see more of our wonderful city and beautiful surrounding area.

If you have a particular hobby or interest you would like to pursue, for example, playing or watching football, basketball or hockey, going swimming or joining a gym or a chess club, we can provide information for you.

Information about available activities can be found on the noticeboard in the adult student lounge, or you can come and ask at reception, where we will always be very happy to help you.

Evening Activities

These include pub evenings, bowling, cinema and theatre trips in the evenings. For some evening activities there may be an additional charge of around £10 – £20 per person.

Full Day Excursions

Eden Project, Morwelham Quay, Tintagel Castle, Mount Edgcumbe Country Park, Buckland Abbey, Dartmoor National Park, Paignton Zoo, Exeter, Torquay. The cost for excursions is usually around £20.

Excursions to Bath, London, Land’s End and other places of interest can be arranged on request.
